Four Years of Effort Paid at State Four years ago, Miss Marsha Zink and this year's LEAGUE STATE graduating seniors entered LHS together. Through- Mixed Chorus I I out those years, Miss Zink and the Mixed Chorus had Girls Glee I I been working to achieve the goal of a I rating at both Boys Glee II II the League and State Music Contests. During the Mixed Ensemble I I 1972-'73 school year this goal was achieved. Valettes I I Ever since the first day of music class in August, Boys Ensemble II II the students practiced on songs for the special pro- Freshman Girls II III grams presented at LHS and also for music contests. Doris Britt III The vocal music department put on programs for Peggy Hearne I I Thanksgiving and Christmas, and presented a Spring Steve Watson I musical just before the end of school. Jacob Inkelaar II This year the vocal music department captured Donna Mead I II more honors than ever before. LHS received plaques Debbie McAllister I II for the I ratings of Mixed Chorus and Girls Glee.
