We arrived at Hong Kong Island Un a hot morning in June. It was crowded with men of all races As was the nearby Kowloon. Ships of many nations Lay in the harbor at rest. The city itself shows the marks Of the merging of East and West. We remained for week, While Mary Soo cleaned the SideS- We hit the Nite Spots, And side-stepped the guides. The split Chinese skirts Drew a lot of attention, And started ideas We donlt care to mention. We took in our lines, And stood out channel. New clothes filled our lockers, Of cashmere and flannel.

JAPAN Japan, the Land Of The Rising Sun, Is known Heetwide as a place of good fun. Almost all hands know the bars and dancehalls, And single men know some girls who are dolls. A beautiful country of ancient and newg With old Buddhist temples, or Hoorshows on VICW From the busy port of Yokohama, To the quiet peace of Fujiyama. From the new neon madness of Tokyo, To the sacred shrines of old Kyoto. We made it twice to Kobe, Three times to the Yoko base, Where an Admiral came aboard, And looked in every space. We threw a big shipas party Our second trip to Yoko. A real two day blast, With everybody loco. Some of us bought China, Some bought souvenirs. Some went to the EM. club For cool stateside beers. When we cleared the bay for the very last time, We were headed for home with West Pac behind.
