Public address systems telephones, and the entire communication of our ship as Well as the gyro and pitometer log are the responsibility of the IC Flectricians Connections improper speed or course indication all demand on the spot restoration at sea The Electrician gang has the vast duties of genera- ting and distributing the large loads of current about the ship, and the upkeep of the miles and miles of cabling that make their Way through every passage, hole and overhead throughout the ship. It is called CIC-Combat Information Center. Its Search radars and skillfully operated manuevering boards keep the bridge constantly advised on every situation. Its administrative branch keep the command up to date on all methods of policy. Maintaining an up to date navigational picture, keeping an accurate plot on all contacts, enemy and friendly, recommending course and speed changes to put the ship on station, guarding, adjusting, and providing prompt repair of the radar and radio circuits 5 keeping the status board up to date 3 these are just a few of the routine jobs of the men in the OI Division, and at sea these and many more jobs are efficiently performed, often simultaneously.
