ociety To uphold high moral standards, render generous service, display qualities of good leadership, and maintain above average academic grades are the requirements for N. H. S. membership. During the '54-'55 school year our local chapter has tried hard to attain and maintain these ideals. Our chapter has been active in charity drives - polio, tuberculosis, and cancer. We believe that our efforts have helped influence people to give more generously. On December 3, following the formal initia- tion of new members the chapter entertained at a tea in honor of the initiates, their parents and teachers. N. H. S. sponsored Clean-Up Week, March 7-11. Student-Teacher Day, April 8, gave the teachers a period for observation and stock-taking and the student teacher a day of teaching experience Perennial chapter services are bulletin board dis- plays and the sale of athletic tickets. To defray state convention expenses the chapter sponsored a post-season basketball game that pitted the Juniors against the Seniors. NA'rroNAr.
