Butler Studer The Student Council, composed of four officers and thirteen homeroom represen- tatives, is the governing body of B. P. S. The student body works through the Student Council with the faculty in upholding the high ideals and standards of our school. In addition to the routine work of operating the supply store, serving as monitors, and dealing with student problems, the Council sponsors several special events. The Council's first major project was Homecoming, October 15. November 11, we held a special flag service on the front lawn instead of our daily flag salute and devotional. In January, our organization conducted a GOOD CITIZENSHIP drive. During this campaign, Reverend Fulton Bryan, pastor of the local First Baptist Church, talked to the student body. Selected students presented panel discussions and quiz programs, and homerooms made and distributed posters on civic responsibilities. Makes and Interprets the Ru 26 1
