Another Journey Begins ...... Closer To Home . . . A iourney fo a place we're all frying fo find. The l973 Bruin is a sfep foward reaching fhaf goal. Buf in order fo reach your final desfinafion you find fhaf fhere are cerfain obsfacles you musf over- come along fhe way. We found fhis ouf as we sfarfed fhe producfion of fhe '73 Bruin. lf sfarfed wifh fhe big decision of rearranging fhe secfions of fhe book, would if be fhe fra- difional way or should we dare break fradi- fion and change if? Thaf's one of fhe maior problems wifh people fhey are so afraid fo fry somefhing new for fear if won'f go righf. How does one find ouf if fhey won'f fry any- fhing differenf. So fhaf's whaf we did. Evenf- ually fhe secfions molded fogefher as one fofal unif. We had fo do pracfically fhe same fhing wifh fhe sfaff. Mold fogefher before we could begin producfion, buf, firsf we had fo solve our differences. This was our greafesf problem fhroughouf fhe year. Buf all people are differenf, and fhey have differenf ideas and ways of doing fhings. So in order fo work fogefher we had fo give a liffle more fhan we fook. Geffing fo know one anofher and 'lheir ways and moods, and being able fo communi- cafe wifhouf yelling or blowing up was fhe sfep fhaf broughf us much closer fo reaching our goal. The person specifically responsible for geffing us fogefher was Miss Pafi Ishida. Wifhouf her creafive ideas and deferminafion fo use fhose ideas fhe '73 Bruin would prob- ably be sfill incomplefe and sfuffed on some shelf in room 75. Wifh differenf fime limifs and expecfafions, a deep feeling of obligafion and unsure- nessiovercomes one. , I Once again fhe Publicafions Class of '73 experi- enced 'lhese feelings, buf by working fogefher we overcame many barriers. From fhese experiences we all learned many fhings abouf each ofher, and found fhaf af many 'limes fhere were many differences in our opinions. Boys' Sfafe selecfion is fhe new ASB Pres I wonder, whaf would happen if we elecfed a ASB Presidenf? Girls' Sfafe selecfion is done fhe feachers.
