Student Council Acted More Efficiently orking Unoler Newly-Aoloptecl Constitution Functioning under a newlyfadopted constituf tion which provided for a far more workable orf ganization than the old charter, the Student Council not only efticiently conducted its many routine duties, but also undertook a series of new responsibilities. An executive Board, which met weekly, and a full Council of 55 members, which convened once each month, sponsored afterfgame dances, prof vided busses for outfofftown games, promoted a successful ' homecoming, directed the United Campaign, and fostered another sale of foreign student shares of stock. New items on the Council's agenda included the creation of an early morning study hall and the sponsorship of a novelty leap year dance. When Student Council sponsored a talent assembly, Tim Sweeney and lean Eckles sang and danced their way through one of many acts in the show. A leap year dance which was promoted by a Student Council committee proved to be one of the highlights ofthe year. Girls created their own corsages nosegays and their dates boutonnieres for the gala occasion.
