Assislanl Principal Mr. Charles Cox, lhe Adminislra- live Assislanl lo our principal, was born in Eldon, Iowa. He received his educalion in bolh Iowa and Illinois. For live years he laughl in Leroy and Pekin, and sludied,.lo receive his masler's degree from lhe Universily ol Illinois, during his vacalions. Aller leaching al Bloominglon lor one year, he enlisled in lhe Navy, where he served lor four years. He lhen re- lurned lo inaclive cluly as a Lieulen- anl Commander and again began leaching. In I948 he became assisl- anl lo our principal. J Principal Our Principal was born in Bloom- inglon, Illinois, where he allended grade and high school. He gradualed in I9l3 wilh lhe honor ol being bolh presidenl and valediclorian ol his senior class. He allended I.W.U. where he received his bachelors de- gree and lhen began leaching al BHS. Aller enlisling in lhe Navy dur- ing World War I, he relurned here lo leach and in I940 became prin- cipal. In I937, he received his mas- ler's degree al lhe Universily ol Chicago and was eleclecl lo Phi Kappa Della, an honorary educalion sociely.
