BILLY REAGAN attended grammar school at Sampson He was quret but a sweet boy Hrs greatest mterest was III agnculture He was a member of the FFA for three years He worked w1th the crew on the stage settmg for the Sen1or play A Date Wrth Judy EDD SAPP was the Prmce of Personaltty as voted rn the Who s Who electron of 54 He was also voted 'WIIIICSI Boy of 54 Edd made an excellent Presrdent rn our Iumor and Sen1or years and was V1ce Presrdent of our Sophomore class Edd served on the Student Cormcil two years and was Presrdent of the Student Body for one year In Edd s Sophomore year he entered several FFA speakmg contests He won fust place 1I'l county wide frrst in drstnct frrst mn state and second ln the tn state contest He also entered speakmg contests at Cookevtlle and won second place ace and thrrd place once He was a delegate to the FFA State Convention m Nashvllle He served as Presldent of the FFA chapter for two years and reporter one year and was a member of the Parliamentary Procedure team three years Edd played m the Class Toumament and for two years was trme keeper of the hrgh school teams He was also busmess manager of the Echo and was a member of the Press and Speech Clubs SHELBY IEAN SEALS was voted Most Likely to Succeed in the Who s Who Contest this year She was the tumrng wheel of the Sen1or class She was editor rn cluef of the Echo thrs year Alumm editor m 53 and was on the Beacon Advertlsmg staff Shelby Jean starred rn three plays the Junror class play Senior class play and Beta play and was elected Best Actress rn the Who s Who Contest She was a member of the Press Club Beta Club FHA and 4 H Club attended 4 H Congress rn 51 and won S10 111 a dairy food demonstratron She was Junior class reporter m 53 The Commercral medal was gwen graduatton she plans to attend busmess college THOMAS WINDELL SELBY was Valedtctonan of the class He attended grammar school at Patten The Balfour medal the Englrsh medal and the Soctal Sclence medal went to Wmdell He was Presrdent of the class when we were Sophomores and served on the Student Councrl m 51 52 Wmdell was 1n two plays the Iunror class play and the Sen1or play He was a member of the Press Club B Club played football two years basketball one year and played for the Class Toumament three years He was the manager of the Beacon Advertising staff tlus year wh1ch made a record m sellmg advertxse ments In the 54 Who s Who electron he was voted Boy Most Lrkely to Succeed REED SELLS was one of the sweetest boys m the Sen1or class Reed always managed to find a smrle for everyone and was always willing to help anyone In ttme of trouble He was a member of the Beta Club In 53 34 Glee Club m 50 52 and 4 H tn 50 54 He played m the Bledsoe band The Echo staff was privrleged to have him as the1r only boy typist He was a member of the advertismg staff on the Beacon and worked hard to sell as many ads as possrble He had a part m two plays the Jumor class play m 53 and the Speech club play rn 52 He represented our class in the Class Tournament for three years and played basketball th1s year EDNA RAE SIMMONS was one of the quretest glrls of the class but was ltked by everyone Could be seen most of the time wtth Nancy Swafford Her favonte sub1ect was Home Economrcs She was a member of the FHA tn 53 54 BEULA MAE SMITH was a fnend to everyone Beula never found the dark sxde of a person but could manage to frnd somethmg mce about everyone She was the beautrcran of the class as she d1d all the barber work for her gul fnends She was a member of the B Club 4 H Club, Press Club Speech Club Glee Club and the FHA She was one of the grrls to represent Bledsoe at the Varsrty v1sit Ln Knoxville thxs fall a meetrng for FHA guls She also modeled a dress in a sub drstnct FHA meeting at Hrxson when she was a Sophomore She was song leader for one year Her plans for the future are to attend college and ma1or III Home Economics. . , . . . . - V . . . v . . . . .- . . .
