BILLIE RAE CLARK came from Summer Crty school She was a Sunday School teacher rn her com munrty and a BTY member Brllre Rae wrthdrew from school after the frrst semester of our Senror year and drd not graduate wrth our class MARY RUTH CREASON was a member of our class but she was unable to attend chool wrth us thrs year due to rllness However rn sprte of this fact she contrnued her work at home as a home bound stu dent and graduated wrth our class We prarsed Mary Ruth for her undefeated courage and were sorry she could not be at school wrth us CHRISTINE CURTIS was trny but able to do a good Job of everythrng she drd She was Lrbrary Assrs tant a posrtron whrch requrred lots of thought and skrll and she earned a B rn Library Club rn 54 She played rn the Class Tournament rn 52 53 She was Advertrsrng Manager of the Echo her Senror year and she drd a very excellent Job of rt too Always energetrc and wrllrng that was Chrrstrne MARVINE CURTIS was a tall srlent fellow who came to school from a farm up the East Valley Road Hrs marn rnterest was rn agrrculture He belonged to the F F A all four years of hrgh schooL Marvme was a boy who was always wrlling to help wrth anythrng that was to be done He helped erect the lovely stage settrng for the Senror Play Marvrne was well lrked by all hrs fellow classmates WINTON LEE DOUGLAS was Curley to us He was tall, blonde and was always friendly to every one He came from Lusk to Bledsoe Hrgh He belonged to the F F A four years and the B Club one year 50 51 He was on the basketball team hrs Freshman year GERALD EVANS was one of the most handsome boys of the 54 class He was tall had black hair and blue eyes and those teeth when he smrled Just sparkled Gerald received the Ferguson cup that rs grven to an outstandrng student rn all ways He was Busrness Manager of the Beacon and served on the Student Councrl one year He starred rn two plays the Iunror class play and the Senror class play He played for the basketball team two years and belonged to the B Club three years He was a mem VIRGIL FERGUSON was lrttle but loud He was a clever boy and Just loved to play Jokes on people or be rn some krnd of mrschief He was sentimental at heart and was liked by all hrs classmates He was manager of the football team two years and played in the Class Tournament three years He was a member of the F F A , Glee Club and B Club Vrrgil had a record of erght years perfect attendance WILTON FRAZIER attended Mt Crest Grammar School Wilton s favorrte subject was typrng H played in the Class Tournament rn 52 53 and played on the football team in 53 54 CLIFFORD WILLIAM GA DD was a tall, dark, well mannered lad who always mmded hrs own busr ness He had a wonderful personalrty as well as being a grand football player He played tackle on the football squad for three years He was a member of the F F A for four years DANA HALE was our only Senior grrl to be on the basketball team thrs year but she made up for the others wrth her outstandrng playrng She was on the team all four years and coached our grrls rn the Class Tournament for four years She recerved the grrls Physrcal Educatron medal this year She was a member of the B Club Beta Club F H A and was Presrdent of the 4 H Club Dana attended grammar school at Sampson FRANCES VERNEAL HANKINS was another pretty Senror grrl with long brown halr She was a quiet type of girl but was always frrendly to all Vemeal worked very industrrously on the Echo as a typrst this year GLA DYS WORTHINGTON HEARD entered B C H S as a Worthrngton but thrs year she became trred of that and changed rt to Heard She was mamed to Iunror Heard December 14 1953 She was a member of the F H A rn 53 54 and served as Class Edrtor on the Beacon Gladys promrses to make Iunr llent wrfe if Zfigfggfyfyfjfif rfyif A . . . . . . 3 ,, ,, . . .
