gmwywkggi wxsxi Fm Q .,-15., Q S CLASS HBSTORY The senior class of '42 enrolled as freshmen on August 16, 1958. There were Bl students to regis- ter and Mrs. Hayden Wilson took up her duties as sponsor. The class colors, crimson and gold: the flower, dogwoodg and the motto: HLet the ropes of the past ring the bells of the future,u were selected. During our freshman year, Tollet Swafford was e- lected president. Betty Wyatt served in that capacity while we were sophomores. As juniors we were led by George Adams. Finally, in 1941, we inherited the en- vied position of seniors with Alma Campbell to guide us through the year. Four medals were won by members of our class be- fore we became seniors. Betty Wyatt won the American Legion medal for citizenship during her sophomore year. Three juniors were presented medals of honor in 1941. Raymond Standefer and Betty Scott won the Ath- letic medals that year, and Betty Wyatt was awarded the Scholarship medal. We are especially proud of these honors. We have also displayed our dramatic talent during the last two years. nApril's Fooln was presented in our junior year: and our senior play was nThe Camp- bells Are Com1ng.n It is with no little reluctance that we leave school this year: however the days that we have spent here will remain a cherished memory wherever we go. As you glance over our annual and read this class history, stop awhile and grant a portion of your memories to THE GLASS OF 1941-42. 9 ' .,.. 11 '- - Mgyr K -W-
