... and we ain’t just a-woofin’! Dedication — 5

Page 8 text:

This one’s for you Mr. Anderson ... Lei's start a rumor! No. no not about snow this time, we heard it was about Mr. Rod Anderson Yeah, that's right - you know that tall distinguished looking guy. who's Commander in Chief of the Lake Harriet ice watch? Well this time, we heard that the 1988 yearbook staff has affectionately chosen to dedicate this edi tion of Reflections to Mr Anderson. Mr Anderson, what can we say? His dedication to the Blake School for the past 25 years has been priceless. Without him who would know when the war of 1812 took place? Or who was buried in Grant's tomb? Who would greet us with a nod of the head and a you betcha every morning on our way to classes? And who else would give the famous tenth grade tour of Minneapolis? Whether in the role of teacher, coach, or friend, he's been there for us all. Thanks for being a constitutional fanatic, for quieting the third floor lounge, and for making everyone's time at Blake a little more special. Blake wouldn't be the same without you, Mr. Anderson. How about them Twins? 1 Mr Anderson and his wife Barb have a quiet family dinner. 2 Yardwork allows Mr Anderson to collect a few fall souvenirs. 3 His lirsl quarter classroom, Trailer 1A. forms the backdrop lor Mrs Solon and Mr Anderson 4 Kitty gets some attention from Mr Anderson 5 Back in his hockey head coaching days. Mr An derson rallies the team 6 Chns Boyle and Mr Anderson have a chat over a bag lunch in the courtyard. 4 4 Dedication

Senior Class unites on weekend Even the four hour bus ride to Eveleth. Minnesota, could not dampen the spirit of the seniors as they came nearer to finally experiencing that long awaited Senior Weekend, held annually at Camp Warren. Upon arrival, the first order of business seemed to be hiding the ammunition for that evening s traditional shaving cream fight from any unplanned faculty inspec lions. The weekend included horseback riding, a horror movie, square dancing, and a goal setting session. Storytelling talents came out in the skits and at the bonfire, and around the late night fires in each cabin. Everyone in the class also participated in service projects, helping the Camp get ready for the winter. Dyads provided a one-on-one opportunity for each senior to have a conversation with another boy and then a girl, so people could get to know their classmates better. A second stop at Toby's restaurant on the way home finished the three-day weekend. 1 Anne Stoll. Kerry Forbes, and Tina Davenport share a laugh 2 Camp Warren veteran Bill Cousins enjoys a meal 3 Racing ahead of the pack. Kent Ritchie and David Bergerson paddle on. 4 A group of backwoodsmen embark on a canoeing excursion. 5 Hilary Cairns and Tina Davenport need a quick clean up after the shaving cream war 6 Brett Anderson, Mr Stander. and Carter Beal take a break from their service activity 7 The promise ol a photo lures a crowd. 4. 6 — Senior Weekend
