Energetic, fun, intense, tolerant, adaptable and friendly. These words could be used to describe most Blake students. We all live fast paced lives, full of work, play, commitments, responsibility, and vitality. Everyday brings new surprises, pressures, meetings, and time to let go. This year in particular let the outstanding qualities of Blake students shine through. Not even the closing of the main part of the school building for the first quarter could keep us from moving right along, and we all came out ahead, if not more physically fit, by the year's end. Blake offers many opportunities to learn, to lead, and to live a productive and exciting life. By moving from activity to activity we become more well-rounded and accepting of change. Perhaps in between the homework, the games, the concerts, the plays, and whatever else you do. you’ll have time to sit back and reflect on a most character building year. For that reason we present this yearbook to you. 1 The whole school gathers tor a rare group shot 2 During their tree time. Mike Townley, Scott Gage. Chris Kahlcr. and Jason Leighton lend a hand 3. This one’s for you Mr. Anderson ... Lei's start a rumor! No. no not about snow this time, we heard it was about Mr. Rod Anderson Yeah, that's right - you know that tall distinguished looking guy. who's Commander in Chief of the Lake Harriet ice watch? Well this time, we heard that the 1988 yearbook staff has affectionately chosen to dedicate this edi tion of Reflections to Mr Anderson. Mr Anderson, what can we say? His dedication to the Blake School for the past 25 years has been priceless. Without him who would know when the war of 1812 took place? Or who was buried in Grant's tomb? Who would greet us with a nod of the head and a you betcha every morning on our way to classes? And who else would give the famous tenth grade tour of Minneapolis? Whether in the role of teacher, coach, or friend, he's been there for us all. Thanks for being a constitutional fanatic, for quieting the third floor lounge, and for making everyone's time at Blake a little more special. Blake wouldn't be the same without you, Mr. Anderson. How about them Twins? 1 Mr Anderson and his wife Barb have a quiet family dinner. 2 Yardwork allows Mr Anderson to collect a few fall souvenirs. 3 His lirsl quarter classroom, Trailer 1A. forms the backdrop lor Mrs Solon and Mr Anderson 4 Kitty gets some attention from Mr Anderson 5 Back in his hockey head coaching days.
