WE ARE FAMILY This year's Homecoming was the first in a series of events celebrating The Blake Schools' tenth anniversary. Students, faculty, and alumni joined together to show their school spirit by either dressing up for the occasion or cheering on their favorite sports. The traditional bonfire was held on Wednesday night. The skits generated enthusiasm for the upcoming soccer and football games. Homecoming royalty, announced at the bonfire, included freshman attendants Shandele Gumucio and |ohn Ebel, sophomore attendants Georgie Slade and D. lackson, junior attendants Dori Schlampp and Ted Anderson, and senior attendants Ellen Mahoney and Steve Sell. King Scott Adams judged the hairy leg contest, while Queen Laura Gabbert chose the longest beard. Volleyball, tennis, boys' soccer, and football continued Blake's decade of dominance while the cheerleaders kept the spirit high with rousing pepfests and cheers. The grand finale of the week was the dance on Friday night.
