• During the four years of their Upper School life the Seniors have been exceedingly fortunate in having Mr. Owen as their advisor. Through his wise guidance and restraining influence the Seniors have approached the dignity, maturity, and leadership expected of them. His work has won unqualified appreciation from the graduating class. Schube! Jay Owen

IN THE FIRST FORM The class of 1942 first entered these dim halls way hack in 1930. Heffelfinger M., with an apple in each hand, Richards, Dobson, Dayton, and Barbour, entered the First Form of the Junior School at that distant date. Since then the class has grown tremendously, adding twenty-eight names to the list of unfortunates. This year our class carried more than its share of the school program, participating in dramatics, music, publications, and athletics. Seniors comprised the majority of the players on all the varsity teams and have won more athletic sweaters than have the members of any former Senior Class. Recovering from our habitual seventh place in the school scholarship ranking which our class has held in previous years, this year we often topped the school scholastically. Spencer and Habermann have lead the class. In years to come we will pursue widely differing paths through life. but. no matter what the task, it will be difficult to equal that record which we have made here at Blake. IN THE FIFTH FORM
