The 1976 Edition of the Clipper is dedicated to our future. In this Bicentennial year, Americans are turning to our nation's past. We are looking back to the deeds of those patriotic men and women whose sacrifice has insured us a free, independent, and great nation. While there are lessons to be learned from the past, we must look forward for it is there in the future that we will reach our goals and fulfill our dreams. The school's fifty-five year history has been eventful. Named for the important Virginian and educator, James Blair, the school has seen many of Norfollds finest citizens as students here. Teachers and administrators have gone from Blair to become leaders in the administration of Norfolk schools. Since its opening, our school has been added to and changed physically but one thing has not changedg that is, the dedication of those in the school to the continuation of free, public education for all.
