A Handful of Fun
Among the more unique groups at Blair
was the Sign Language Club. All interested
students joined Ms. Fleischer in learning
the art of sign language because they be-
lieve it is important and helpful to be able
to communicate with the deaf.
Everyone met during lunchtime every-
day to learn sign language and to watch
closed captioned films which they all en-

New Club Gains
A new group on campus, the Latin
Agers, captured the attention of the stu-
dent body. The main purpose of the club
was to raise money for scholarships for
eligible Latino students.
The club had many activities, including
trips to Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Ol-
vera Street, and Catalina Island, Fun-
draisers included a candy sale, a candy
apple sale, and a car wash. These activi-
ties were successful in raising the money
needed to fund scholarships.
The club looks forward to continuing
for many years and hopes that its efforts
will result in enriching education for the

The Film Fan Club met occasionally with
Ms. Downhower and Mrs. Russell to men-
