Senior Class Prophecy Once upon a time, late at night, two young eager authors sat on a table pondering. They were searching and reaching for the twilight zone to get an inspiration. As they were sitting there in disgust with no en- lightened thought, the maid served the tea, which our hardy authors readilylapped up. As they were sipping the refreshing brew, their sleepless eyes were inadvertently drawn to the pot. A strange white vapor rose from it. It quivered and twisted in alifelike fashion. The young men's eyebrows raised in astonishment, for from the steam'a voice was heard. One of the authors looked at his compaion. "Eh, Joe, did you hear. . . " "Yea, ha, it must be our overworked minds!" he laughed. The vapor shook violently as if angered, and now the two astonished scholars seemed to hear a voice. The taller of the two laughed, "Once I heard a story about a genie, "he started, "this crazy smoke reminds me of it. Anyway this guy found this lamp and he said to it, "Oh, Genie, Oh, Genie, bring me some . . . .er. . . .pretzels." Suddenly, before their astonished eyes in a puff a silver platter filled with choice pretzels appeared. "Good grief!" they exclaimed in amazement. One of the astonished authors caught heart again, stuttering, "G-G-Genie, d-do you grant w-wishes ?" "Master, thy wish is my command!" was the reply heard from the vapor which by now had taken the form of a huge muscular, turbaned Indian. They both got their courage back and asked the Genie to give them an inspiration. "What be the inspiration thou wanteth?" "To look into the future," they blabbered forth in unison. "Whose future?" "The future of the people we like best of all." "Ah, that must be the class of '62," answered the Genie with a broad smile. "How did you guess?" "I know all things !" And so the misty curtain of the future was drawn away and here is what they saw: BOB ALLEN, one of Ohio's leading Senators, has just set a new filibustering record of 48 hours, 10 minutes, and 3 seconds.
