LAST STOP - SUBIC BAY We stood out from Subic Bay To do a job for the five oh three, So that she could come in To enjoy Olongapo. As she came limping in We met her in the stream. Her destination the tender To help her make more steam. Her compets We observed And engineering did quite well. But some of the things that were seen Will be best it We never tell. The trembling Tee does really try, But when the breakwater We do see, It will be as always Wilkinson, Black, And Fellowman still number three. When Long Beach We do see And they ask Who's that in tow, It will be plain as it can be That its number five oh three. .qty t I .

1 46 With a last replenish, our job was finished, At least in Westpac, for now We were on our Way, to the U.S.A. Home was just over our bow. Through the middle of the night, with stars shining briqht, At 35 knots We did bound. With our wake a straight line, our squadron behind, They couldn't catch this old greyhound. Then we got our relief, to our great grief, We thought our Work Was over. Though We could steam, we Wasn't too clean, They Wanted us to smell like clover. So we Worked all night, till the sun shone bright, So tired we could hardly see. Our home was gleaming, and the Commodore beaming, We have passed , cried the Captain with glee. HOMEWARD BDUND
