The Dragons ended a very successful l958 football season with a record of seven wins and three losses. Head Coach Max DuBose and Assistant Coach J. W. Jones led them in this fine season with valuable coaching assistance from Boyd Stokes, Coley Watson, James Stewart, and the scouting C. E. Teal. The Dragons defeated Camden, Cheraw, Manning, Eau Claire, Chesterfield, Kingstree and Timmonsville, while losing to Hartsville, Winnsboro, and Darlington. The Dragons had a strong backfield with Marvin Quattlebaum, tailback, Jerry Watson, fullback, Doc Stuckey, blocking back, Wayne Farmer, wing back. This back- field operated behind a line composed of Center, Charles Nash, Guards, Jimmy La- Coste and Butch Williams!
