Gewin Olowrc vflfilllll 772355 5 all Spirituality is an integral part of student life at O'Dowd. Each month, the priests at 0'Dowd give mass, allowing students to celebrate and explore their own faith, no matter what shape that faith may take. It is always an exciting event, offering students different perspectives on life with the CMT's skits as Well as Chorus' invigorating songs. Above all, it is a chance for the 0'DoWd community to join together for a time of reflection and prayer. Right. Put your hands together for the Chorus! 28

In October l998 a twenty-one-year-old student at the University ofWyoming was kidnapped, severely beaten and tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. His name was Matthew Shepard, and he was the victim of this assault because he was gay. Moises Kaufman and fellow members ofthe Tectonic Theater Project made six trips to Laramie over the course ofa year and a halfin the aftermath ofthe beating and during the trial ofthe two young men accused of killing Matthew. They conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town. Some people interviewed were directly connected to the case and others were citizens of Laramie. The Laramie Project chronicles the life of the town of Laramie in the year after the murder. Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater members have constructed a deeply moving theatrical experience from these interviews and their own experiences. The play explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. Greg Manley's character shows his obvious dislike for homosexuals through his picket sign. Q file
