Outside Activities Students participate in many activities outside of O,Dowd. They hold jobs, play sports, play musical instruments, or do volunteer work. It is often common to see O,Dowd students outside school as they participate in these activities. Many students workin Montclair, Berkeley, and San Leandro. Others volunteer at shelters and after school programs, tutoring students. O,Vista Swimming and Tennis Club. - - -28 Outside Activities through Senior year. Several athletes play club sports and are on league teams during the off- season at O'Dowd. Still others take instrumental lessons and participate in orchestras and bands. It is often difficult for students to find the time to do these activities because of a heavy course load at school, but they make the time anyway. Whether it's getting a bite to eat after school, or having a cup of poffee with friends at a l -CUTS cafe, there's no limit to the variety of places people hangout. From coffeehouses to arcades, most people have a favorite spot to chill and meet their friends or just to relax all by themselves. 4 I E... kbove: Rockridge's Edible Complex is one of the best coffee hops around.
