ii 'L From the Principal, Very Rev. Frank Wagner, O.M.I. This year has seen Bishop O'Dowd High School involved in the accomplishment of its purpose. In other words, these buildings and grounds have been the center of development and growth for all those connected with the school. The amount of development of each individual depended on the willingness of that person to be open to the better things that life has to offer. Those who took advantage of the many offerings of the school, those who involved themselves in the varied activities ofthe school, those who interacted with as many people as possible here in the school are the ones who have grown, they are the ones who have spirit because they are really alive. They are alive because they have not been afraid to live. While it is presumed that there was profit from exposure to various classes, the expansion of certain aspects of the school may have brought about greater development on the pan ' f f A'-- -4--Af-f-iq A significant improvement in the counselling program made for a more meaningful exist- ence for many. The opportunity of expanding talents in the aesthetic areas of instrumental or choral music or dramatic arts was greatly improved through the addition of the new fine arts building. The introduction of tackle football andthe increased use of machinery for physical development was a new and meaningful experience for many. The attitudes and concerns of many were expanded through the ecology club. Some experienced a new dimension in their lives through Christian fellowship. People have changed because of their association with Bishop O'Dowd High School. lf the growth which brought about that change is to have greater significance, then the light of those lives must shine for others and thus there will be hope. Thus, as Christians, our world will be a better place in which to live.
