class president Jim Natonski, called Natzi since his grade school days at St. Casimir in Hammond, was chosen by the seniors to represent them as their president. One of the most active members of his class, Jim ' s leader¬ ship qualities were recognized long before he was elected to the class presidency. He is a three year member of the student council and has maintained membership in the National Honor Society for two years. He has the distinction of attend¬ ing the Science Seminar in Hammond. Jim, a letter man, has also been a four year member of our football and wrestling teams, and a track member for three years. Although this is an incomplete list of Jim ' s activities, one can readily judge by them that in our president are combined talents rarely found in one person. Jim, the son of Mr. Leo Natonski of Hammond, plans to attend Notre Dame University, where he will major in Chemical Engineering. student council pResident The president of the Student Council for the 1959-1960 school term is Richard Barry. Rich was elected in his junior year, as was every Student Council officer, by the entire student body with the exception of last year ' s outgoing seniors. A conscien¬ tious worker. Rich has done well in making his school and his class proud of his efforts. Rich is a senior well-liked by the entire student body. He has done much for his class by heading dances, assemblies, and even inter-school programs. A four year veteran of the football team. Rich is also a member of the Monogram Club. His other activities include working on the Sketch Book and senior class play, The Matchmaker . He is also an active member of the Choral Club. Rich, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Barry of Lansing, is a member of St. Ann ' s parish in that city. He plans to attend Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.
