Brian Haynes and Matt Arnett expose the Japanese students to a typical American meal. Joleen Lenihan doesn't need a translator as she uses her own. ASB officers meet with the Japanese students for a cultural conference. N The Student Council has worked very hard this year in their never-ending quest to find enjoyable and interesting activities for students. The ASB welcome Frosh Dance began the year, followed by a pep rally which included a uno hands pieaeating contest. Primetime began on October 19 with a flurry of Homecoming Activities, from spirit games and 4'lVlal-ce A Nightu to the Homecoming pep rally and An Evening Under the Stars at the Galleria, November brought a visit from high lschool students from Japan. Student Council members served as tour guides who offered their hospitality and time to them. A volleyball game was also played between the Japanese students and our own. Other activities were also planned such ,as Santa,s Visit and the Winter Formal. Through its organi- zation and effort, Student Council has definitely proved that it is devoted to finding interesting activities to keep students enthusiastic about school throughout the year. ,lv 'Sh

The goal of the club is to help familiarize the people with the Spanish Culture. The club The Spanish Club headed by Sr' ,Mmam ls com helps out the needy in any way it een. prised exclusively from the Spanish four class, The french Club was organized and open to all inter- ested students for the first time in November 1987. Students strive to develop a better understanding of French Culture, through a pen - pal program. The club tries to provide help for those students who wish to study in France. 58 ' plans to visit Alvera street sometime during the ear which is rich with Spanish Culture. A t V .
