GUD JAMS on the Senior Retreat The anticipation grew and the busses filled as 49 seniors gladly saif goodbye to Bishop on a typical November afternoon. But this day was fa from typical. We were on our way to Big Bear for our senior retreat. Neve will we forget the ten-mile-anehour journey up the mountain. When wi. finally reached the retreat camp, we were all ready to eat. The cold ai brought excitement as we talked about the possibility of snow during dinner The first session was electric and supplied power when the generator failed From the first night we all knew that this was going to be the best retrea ever. When we woke up the next morning - the world was white an beautiful, much to the delight of all, as we welcomed the first snow of th season. Sno-ball fights were over by lunch as the sun melted the snow awa Horseback riding and volleyball made for fun afternoons, as some chose tr stay inside by the fire and make special gifts for their secret pals. The tear came when we received letters from our parents and exchanged our secre pal bags. The climax of the retreat came at the end as Father Alex led us i an unforgettable mass as the STARS, LIGHTNING BOLTS, X'S, DIA MONDS, and HALF - MOONS received their crosses from their leaders. A we headed back down the mountain, there was something special inside a of us. We made plans to meet at Chuck E. Cheese when we returne realizing that the next phase of our retreat had just begun. -.
