An Old Fashion Christmas was the theme for the 1978 Christmas Dance held on December 9th. De- spite the snow and ice, everyone gathered for the dance at the St. Joe Hessen Cassel Hall. Couples lis- tened and danced to the music pro- vided by Traces . Indeed the mu- sic, food, and company were a de- lightful mixture. An Old Fashioned Christmas Cindy and Tony found the best spot. Dave — without Nan? Andy doing his strut. Nate loves those slow songs. Lester and Rita enjoy her flowers. 26 SPIRIT

5th Annual Swing Choir Contest The Fifth Annual Bishop Luers Mid- west Swing Choir Contest was held on Feb. 24, 1979. Out of the twenty schools competing, six were chosen to perform at the sing off that night. The Carmel Ambassadors were awarded first place and also received the best vocal award. Sec- ond place went to the Marion 26th St. Singers, and also the best show award. Third place was given to Nor- throp Charisma ' 79, fourth to the Anderson Singers Unlimitted, fifth to the Noblesville Singers and sixth place went to the Norwell Swing Set ' 79. Thanks to the music dept. for putting this whole program together — it was truly a success!! Anderson Singers Unlimitted present Godspell ' Mayor Armstrong proclaims the day Swing Choir Day . The Norwell Swing Set is set for swinging! Noblesville Singers sing out. Northrop Charisma ' 79 do a funeral dirge. 28 SPIRIT
