The Music Awards Banquet was held on Tuesday, May 8. All of the members of the music department received their letters or chevrons for the year ' s work. Appreciation Awards were given to those who had made special contributions to the department over the course of the year. Dan Andersen, Bill Matter and Kris Morrow received awards that had been voted on by the members of the organizations. Marilyn Bauman, Virginia Hettinger, Ed Skevington, and Dan Andersen were entered into the Hall of Fame for their outstanding contributions over the years. The 1978-79 Athletes were honored on two nights this year. There was a Fail Athletic Recognition night and there was also one for participants in Spring sports. The athletes were given their first year awards, second year letters and third and fourth year chevrons. Congratulations to all!! Some Honored Athletes Valuable volleyball players.
