1978-1979 Homecoming The 1978-1979 Homecoming Week was a smashing success. It all start- ed with the decorating of the halls. The students put their ideas togeth- er to see who could come up with the most original theme. The sopho- mores won this competition with their Knight Fever . The girls had a thrilling night when the Seniors and Sophomores took the wins in the Powder puff games. On skit night the senior class raised enough spirit to win that popular competition. Even though the game was a disap- pointment, Luers ' unity was clearly shown. The dance following the game was a winner in itself with the Homecoming King Jim Dwire and Queen Mary O ' Connor. Overall this year ' s Homecoming was a spirit- filled success. Move over Dallas Cheerleaders . . . Here come the Senior Guys. 16 SPIRIT -. Allison — who do you like the best?

Senior decorating made the theme visible. Doris checks out the food line. The Senior-Frosh Tea allowed the Seniors to share special times of their lives with the new Freshmen. Speeches were given by Patty Kerr and Laura Klug and many were there to reflect on these words of wisdom. It was a warm welcome and gave the Freshmen girls a chance to see what Luers togetherness is all about.
