The week of February 10-14 was named, Focus on Women Week. Guest speakers throughout the week discussed the achieve- ments of women, presented viewpoints on women ' s roles in society, and talked about the opportunities open to women today. One exceptional speaker was Ms. Joan Uebelhoer, a former teacher at Luers, who portrayed Ms. Elizabeth Cady Stanton, a pioneer in the women ' s movement. Another highlight was the variety show which en- abled the women of Luers to display their respective talents. The week ' s activities gave the Luers student body an d faculty a chance to hear new ideas, assure women of their potential, and encourage them to use it.
