Dedication On June 14, 1957, the burdens of the Diocese of Brooklyn were placed on the shoulders of Bishop Bryan J. McEntegart, The fourth Bishop, successor to three great Bishops, John Loughlin, Charles E. McDonnell and Thomas E. Molloy, found awaiting him an anxious staff of learned and indus- trious clergy. His Excellency also discovered thousands of Religious, priests, Brothers and Sisters, laboring un- selfishly and devotedly in a great school system ranging from nursery school to college and university. The months following his in- stallation as Bishop have found him engaged in the further de- velopment and improvement of an already outstanding diocese. He has assumed the responsibilities of his high oilice with confidence, being assured of the willing and heart- felt cooperation on all sides. Previously, Bishop McEntegart had been especially active in the field of education. His career has included terms as a professor at Fordham University, sixth Bishop of Ogdensburg and rector of the Catholic University of America, Washington, D. C. Particularly endearing to the hearts of all Loughlin men should be the realization that the newly appointed Bishop is a graduate of Manhattan College, which makes him one of us, a Brothers' Boy. He is also an alliliated member of the Christian Brothers, allowing him to partake of all the spiritual privileges and benefits of the Order. It is with deep respect and great pleasure that we, the' staff, dedicate the yearbook of the Senior Class of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, the 1958 Loughlinite, to you, Bishop Bryan J. McEntegart. 5 ft K X H X 2- is if: .4 3 ff-K 2' 'i 1 . .
