To this very day, that most urgent of all com- mands is still the creed of the priestly vocation and the propagation of the words of Christ is still its prime function. In its present condition, the world is in dire need of a strong priesthood capable of combat- ting the encroachment of communism and other totalitarian beliefs which are bent on the destruc- tion of all religion. Despite this fact, men have shown a most frightening apathy toward these vile evils and a reluctance to help in this battle with the ungodly. We, at Loughlin, along with all informed Christians, have been shown this distressing state of affairs. We, therefore, can no longer con- sider our job in this matter as simply optional, but instead as a binding duty. We must give our aid in every manner possible to overcome this ungodliness.
