This year the Sophomore class is full of Comet spirit. Since the second year has more free time, Sophomores begin to exert their influence in the school by participating in pom pon, cheerleading and varsity sports. Sophomore year is also spent discovering new social activities. Sophomores spend more time at dances and at aftergame parties. They also get the keys to the car for the first time fthey might even get their own carl. The class of '87 also demonstrates its academic ability. Kristen Stamile placed at the Pittsburg Math Contest, along with numerous others. The class also saw the first in a long line of upcoming battery of standardized tests.
