1984--'85 proved to be a slower year than in the past for Kelley dances, despite various organizations holding dances with original themes as well as old favorites. Besides the Homecoming Dances, Pep Club sponsored several victory dances. Student Council sponsored victory dances after football and basketball games, along with the New Year's, Saide Hawkins, and Howdy dances. The generous folks at Stuco also held a canned food dance, raising food and money for the starving in Ethiopia. Feeling a little bit 'groovy,' AFS put on a sixties dance in February, with the help of a Kelley band. Key Club and Anchor Club co-sponsored the traditional luau. 1 Pete Galbraith asks, 'LLove, joy, peace, and what? 2 Steve McRuiz thinks, From the right angle, I look just like Bruce Springsteen. 3 Simon says, Everybody turn around.

Prom Junior and senior prom-goers enjoyed One More Nightw at the Directory Hotel, May 4, 1985. Sometimes planning months ahead to go with their steadies or the week before frantically grabbing left-overs with XY chromosomes, the women looked splendid in their lovely evening gowns. The men, some attired in Ed Besharais finest, treated their dates to an evening of fun and frolic. The Ushers provided danceable tunes, new hits as well as old favorites. The junior class did a fine job of planning and sponsoring this memorable event, culminating an exciting year for the seniors. swf! N :IMHQ ji fe 7S::9:f,.
