ational Merit Filling in the dots has been a prestigious pasttime for several Kelleyites this year. Achieving this lofty status from Bishop Kelley fa National Merit hotbedj are eight com- mended students, one semi-finalist, and six finalists. Attaining National Merit status is quite lucrativeg students can extract as much as 32000 from the National Merit racket. Under the guidance of Mrs. Oliver and Miss Beck the finalist filled out their applica- tions, sent them in, and received their cash prizes in return. The unfortunate commend- ed students and semi-finalists did not even receive a year's supply of Turtle Wax. However, next year,s contestants can look forward to possibly the biggest prize over a dinner with Mr. Oberste at Kip's Big Boy. I .
