It is almost impossible to figure up experiments' without mathematics, and mathematics entail some knowledge of sci- ence. Math is a subject used every day in BHS, it is further ex- plored to help in higher educa- tion, and possible future voca- tions. Students were offered var- ious courses ranging from related math and algebra, to geometry and trigonometry. Scientific attitudes are de- veloped through the many sci- ence courses offered at Bishop. The clinking test tubes and smell of various chemicals is rather characteristic of the science courses offered here.

Much information can be obtained concerning knowledge and enjoyment. Among these, books of past civilizations aid students in the study of history. Through the three courses of- fered by the B.H.S. History Depart- ment, students learn to better un- derstand, not only their own coun- try, but all the countries of the world. World History provides a know- ledge of the growth of the world's people to their present peak of civilization. American History nar- rows the subject to the study ofthe development of the United States of America. Civics prepares the student for life as an active Ameri- can citizen.
