How To Reach A Goal!! This years magazine drive was an over- whelming success! With over forty-five thou- sand dollars made and 3506 going to particular clubs and organizations. Gormans only fund raiser was very profitable. This years leading teacher was two time winner Mr. Rob Good- 4 A rich. The winner of the trip to Hawaii was Susan Squire who sold over three hundred dollars worth of subscriptions. Special thanks to all students who supported Bishop Gorman by selling subscriptions and also to Roxanne Shoen for counting all that money!!! Special Events 73

Sports Banquet The final salute to the 1986 Bishop Clor- man High School Football Team took place at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino on February 11, 1987. Recognized at the event were the players and coaches of the South- ern Zone Champion Gaels. L.A. Raider All- pro Todd Christensen was the guest speaker. Izzy Marion acted as Master of Ceremonies, and did a fine job of introducing the coaches for their individual presentations. Virginia Cunningham also recognized the Varsity Cheerleaders. Senior Wide-receiver Marty Cordova was named the team's Most Valu- able Player. Most Valuable Offensive Player went to Quarterback Kenneth Windham. Bert Ezor was named Most Valuable Defen- sive Player. Kicker Steve Crevoiserat won the Special Teams award, and Senior Lor- enzo Fertitta was named Most Inspirational. Special Events 75
