Tessie McCullough Laura Gerber Sabrina Gerringer Girls and Boys States is an annual event sponsored by the American Le- gion Auxilary. During a week of explor- ing the inner workings of state govern- ment, these students took part in mock elections, talent night, and also listened to a variety of guest speakers. The week came to a climax on the final day as the students acted out their roles in a mock legislative session which included the introduction of bills proposed during the week. Each and every student learned a great deal about the inner workings of our government. Academics 59
