30 Homecoming Blue Saturday, October 25, marked the last day of Homecoming week. Two events were scheduled for this last dayg they were the Alumni Mass held at 4 p.m. and the Homecoming dance held at 8 p.m.. This year's Homecoming Mass was an uplifting experience. The annual cele- bration held in the Gym was a re-uniting of old friends and famil in the Gorman community. The mass, held in memory of the past alumni, was said by Father Walter Nowak head of Alumni Affairs. The Gym, beautifully decorated, barely 2 v Moon resembled it's original form. Later that evening, the Blue Moon Homecoming Dance was held at Alexis Park. The room was decorated in colors of midnight blue and silver, with arches of ballons over the dance floor and the entrance of the hall. The turn out for the dance was stupen- dous. Homecoming 1986 was exciting celebration. The entire Gorman Com- munity did it's share to make it a magnifi- cent success. SV

Halftime of the Homecoming game was filled with anticipa- tion as the fans sat on the edge of their seats waiting for the announcement of the 1986 Homecoming Queen. The 1984 Homecoming Queen Chelly Bender was on hand to crown this year's Queen in place of 1985 Queen jenny Ballard. jenny was in Italy filming a T.V. show. Four Mercedes Benz drove this year's Queen onto the field. In the first car was Chelly Bender, the second Kerri Bishop and leana Curtis, in the third car Christina Fortner and lenni Kolesar and in the final car rode Kari Weisner and Paige Woodward. After being escorted up onto the stage by their fathers the announcement was madeg this years Queen: jenni Kolesar! 3 1 1 x , 'V , va Wal Homecoming 29
