The Wolves opened up a fast six point lead early in the opening quarter but saw it melt away as Gorman caught fire and walked off the floor at halftime with a seven point lead. The Gaels continued their hot shooting in the third period, out- scoring Basic, 15-6. Both teams went on a scoring spree in the final quarter, Gorman getting 20 points and Basic hitting for 14. i xi 'V In this one Gorrnan's Senior forward Doug DuCharme bucketed 31 points, 25 in the first half, to pace the Gorman Gaels to a 74-71 basketball victory over the previously unbeaten Moapa Valley team. 1WP ':1lf A Gorman established a 30-18 lead over Western and held off a fierce final- half Warrior rally to post a slim 48-47 AAA victory. Western with 46 sec- onds remaining in the game scored to tie it all up 46-46. Gorman's Frank Koot then sank a shot to make it 48-46. Molesee made a free throw with 9 seconds to go but failed to tie the game. of play capped a game that was deadlocked six different times. With 26 seconds remaining in the game Gor- man's Bob Fowler rallied to draw the Gaels within two points of the Wildcats at 50- 48. Las Vegas hit again and Fowler racked up another bucket as the contest ended.
