History: Antics With The Ancients Joe Motherwell argues with Mr. Ray, who has confiscated what he consid- ers contraband in his room, a comb. As everyone knows, history, or the develop- ment of man over the centuries, plays an im- portant role in today ' s society. This years So- cial Studies department endeavored to illus- trate this role. Headed by Mr. Francis Ray, along with Mr. Bart, Mr. Herber, Mr. Koester and Mr. Tone, the Social Studies department helped to bring a new understanding of history to their students. With such courses as World History, U.S. History, Government, Econom- ics, and World Geography there was some- thing for everyone. Complete with costumes and equipment, the teachers brought the past to life and the pre- sent to the classroom. And with this combina- tion, plus a lot of discipline, demonstrations, laughter and bad jokes, the teachers succeed- ed in making better citizens of all their stu- dents. Is it dead yet?
