Art Williams is about to break the tape in a blazing finish for the mile run. Art was a consistent winner in this strenuous distance run throughout the entire season.

Taking a very close second place is Bart Bleuel at the extreme right. .m,.r-.L Armstr0ng's famed distance men are pictured to the left during a practice ses- sion. Left to right are john Deus, jim Kassis, and Art Williams. Shown at the left in an early season meet at Elk Grove are Armstrong's Dave Weiner fat leftj and jan Deveny. Deveny was a consistent winner throughout this entire season. It was a common sight to see him break the tape at the finish of the high and low hurdle races. 91
