Discovery Club: (Top Photo, Left to Right) Anna Jiminez — Secretary, Car- men Jiminez — Vice President, Debbie Maxwell — President. The Discovery Club is the reli- gious club on campus. We strive to bring God into the lives ot all Amat students by many Christian service projects. Many retreats are held throughout the year, in an effort to surround students with the feeling and love of God. All members of the Discovery Club work together to promote a strong sense of Christian leader- ship, service, and brotherhood on campus. Any student who has attended one of the Discov- ery Club ' s retreat has experi- enced an event which would be unparalleled by other activities. Unlike other campus activities, the retreats bring students together for a common goal, a goal which not only takes place within the club, but among the campus and within the hearts of the students every hour Clubs 75

They, too, have ad a winning season in respect to the manner in which they have conducted their activities, and, more impor- ntly, in the spirit in which they generate on campus. The ASB Officers, namely, Angie Koutis, John Marsolais, via Jiminez, and J. J. Ryan, have provided quality leadership to their peers throughout the year. In addition, is group of leaders have worked closely with the ASB commissioners to bring about the kinds of activities hich enhance the student body. A winning season has been an exciting experience for Bishop Amat students and faculty. The essence of story appears in a variety of areas on campus, both on the athletic field and within the classroom. This notion victory then, extends also into the necessary and welcome area called student governance. Through their Die leadership, the students who appear on these two pages have contributed both to their school, and, some- ay, will make a valuable contribution to their environments surrounding them.
