CHRISTIAN SERVICE ' , - Christian Service projects are conducted by Amat students for the aged, needy, handicapped, orphans, and abused chil- dren. Our students visit a variety of institutions, and facilities in order to help those in need. Among the locations that our stu- dents visit are Lanterman State Hospital, Golden Age Convales- cent Home, and Beverly Manor. To the many individuals in these institutions, our students brought joy and the love of the Christian faith to them in a very special way. Though our stu- dents met with these people for just a brief period of time each day, the spiritual joy and happiness of such visits will remain with them, and with our students, for a long time. 220 Activities

A rock group from Florida called Free Fare enter- tained Amat students during class assemblies, and due to popular demand returned for an encore performance the following evening. Free Fare is a member of the Young American Show- case which encourages young musicians to excell in their musical abilities. The group played a variety of music from rock n ' roll to disco. The students attending were very enthusiasic and energetic They really showed the Amat Spirit! Activities 219
