The past gives one his base which makes him what he is. The acquired knowledge helps one pull through the present day hardships and better enjoy the more colorful aspects of school as well as one's social life. For example, by going through initiation one finds it more fun watching as an upperclassman. The same goes for one's public life. Experiences of the past better those of the present and future. The future gives inspiration in the form of the chance to fulfill goals. The bridge that ties today's dreams to tomorrow's achievements is the road of one's life in which every step will turn to memories. Thus these memories set the foundation for all that is to come.
