ll' if 'Gur efforts paid off' Hard work and dedication, bases of sucess, led the newly re-constructed BHS Drama Club to its much anticipated opening night. Day by day, excitement grew within each member of the club as individual efforts were combined to bring realism to a barren stage. The cast of The Night of Jan. I6 began practice early in Sept. CID, as Martha Hopper, alias Magda Svenson, casts suspicion on the accused while being questioned by Flint, Steve Rivera. For three months a makeshift set was used. With only one week until showtime the stage crew constructed the final set, one that gave believabilty to a courtroom scene OJ. The actors gave breath to the production, not only with convincing lines but by true to life portrayals 135. In complete character, Detective Van Fleet. Sam Reyes escorts Miss Svenson to the bench, and C45 Richard Soto is sworn in as the honorable patrolman Sweeney. As the final curtain was dropped CSD, Lori Pilcher and Frank Milliren show signs of relief in the exchange of a congratulating hug.
