Letter clubs vital part of spirit The Letterman and Lettergirl Clubs played an active roll at Bisbee High. The Lettermen put on a pep assembly C2 and 45 in hopes to raise the spirit of the students. The Puma, Marty Garcia, C35 performed at all of the assemblies. Throughout the year The Puma has raised spirits by helping the cheerleaders and performing solo dances at the pep assembly. Throughout the football season, the Girls Letter Club ran the consession stand during the Varsity games to raise money for the club. Kelly Douglass QD often prepared the hot-dog machine before games. Later in the year the Lettermen helped deliver cakes for the Little Red Schoolhouse Cake Auction. C55 Marty Garcia, Steve Rivera, Rudy Torres, Gilbert Gil, David Spivey, and Kirby Dominguez all helped with deliveries. Student Life 67

ll' if 'Gur efforts paid off' Hard work and dedication, bases of sucess, led the newly re-constructed BHS Drama Club to its much anticipated opening night. Day by day, excitement grew within each member of the club as individual efforts were combined to bring realism to a barren stage. The cast of The Night of Jan. I6 began practice early in Sept. CID, as Martha Hopper, alias Magda Svenson, casts suspicion on the accused while being questioned by Flint, Steve Rivera. For three months a makeshift set was used. With only one week until showtime the stage crew constructed the final set, one that gave believabilty to a courtroom scene OJ. The actors gave breath to the production, not only with convincing lines but by true to life portrayals 135. In complete character, Detective Van Fleet. Sam Reyes escorts Miss Svenson to the bench, and C45 Richard Soto is sworn in as the honorable patrolman Sweeney. As the final curtain was dropped CSD, Lori Pilcher and Frank Milliren show signs of relief in the exchange of a congratulating hug. Drama Club President Lori Pilcher summed up the evening, All the work we put in was worth it. The club was a dream. Our efforts made it come true. Drama Club-Front Row.
