'Happiness is' Winter theme for Royalt Now established as a tradition, Winter King S Queen 'SI marked its second year. Classes picked their candidates on the Monday before the last home basketball game, and as the tradition stands the King 8 Queen were announced during halftime of the varsity game. Candidates for this year were Patty Lopez and Jimmy Soriano, freshmena Gabby Suarez and Ramon Miranda, sophomores, Juniors were Marisha Jamison and Kevin Lucero, and Seniors were Ann Thompson and Richard Soto. The theme for the Royalty assembly was Happiness is . . . featuring the Peanuts Gang. During the week before Friday night, the candidates were busy with poster parties and finding clothes to wear during the assemblies. l can't think straigt and l'm really nervous, stated Richard Soto on Friday while the voting went on. The Winter Royalty for '8l was Jr. Marisha Jamison and Sr. Richard Soto. When asked how she felt when they announced her name, Marisha said, I felt really excited and surprised. I32 Honors At halftime of the Bisbee-Sahuarita game, winners for Winter King and Queen wen Richard Soto and Marisha Jamison. Sophomore candidates Ramon Miranda.
