New and promising athletes, giving the veteran nine a lot of competition as well as support, proved their ability to take over when graduation took its toll. Many tiring hours were spent running up and down the Vista Park or trying to run hurdles and dodge baseballs at the same time in the outfield of the baseball diamond.
