THEY SCALP-UM BULLDOGS Man! What a game! 27.0! At least, such was the opinion of every Bisbee fan in the Warren Stadium, at the annual Turkey Day tussle between the Pumas and the Bulldogs. The first half was probably not as bright as the more rabid Bisbee fans would have wished. The teams seemed almost evenly matched, although Bisbee managed to face the opening of the second stanza toting a 6-point lead. Beginning with the first play in the second half, however, Bisbee's bruisers stopped fooling around. They smashed into the hapless Bulldogs, nipping off yardage in big bites. Time and again the Smelter City boys were crushed behind their own lines by the hard-charging Pumas, and were forced to punt to delay the inevitable rout. The last period proved to be a pushover. All the Puma squad were put into action, and Coach Coffey's crew seemed to wilt completely as the Puma subs continued the slaughtering pace set by the rampaging first team. The final gun ended the carnage with no doubt left as to the rightful ownership of the e Copper Pick. Once more The Pick stands in its proper place in the center of the trophy case in the halls of dear old BHS. Man! What a game! 5 fn f' ., v 2 4 M .ii X V Yi 4 f' 1 i' I f WWW w h -Y ..- 'ix -..-
